An action packed, fast paced side scrolling game. Your primary mission: Select an aircraft of your chose (so many to choose from), select the weapons of your choice (once again, so many to choose from) and rain destruction upon your nemesis.
The missions you will be required to fly will include search and rescue, recon, air supremacy and generally raining hot fiery death from above type missions. Each aircraft has its own flight characteristics, associated weapons compatibility and payloads.
It is important for new players not to be disheartened when learning to fly, it is compulsory to crash and burn a few times before the unique flight control keys become familiar.
There have been some funny anecdotes put in place by some bored programmers for those who spear their F-111 in at mach 2, or for those who like to cruise on the edge of the earth’s atmosphere; a few aliens may get spotted. Overall there is a light sense of humour surrounding the game. It is by no means a completely serious game. Have I mentioned yet, this game is fun.
The opponent in this game has many defensive installations ready to blow you out of the sky. On flying a new mission in a new theatre of operations, it is advised that a fast moving recon jet equipped with a camera pod be used to photograph the terrain to locate tall mountains and rather nastily

placed radio transmitter towers that will cause your plane to break up on impact. Once you have landed, grab a large fighter/bomber (F-18, F-15) equipped with AA missiles and GP unguided bombs, take care of enemy aircraft and pummel any annoying structures (like tall towers and buildings) to dust. Now complete the mission, stay low, and quick to avoid AAA (anti-aircraft artillery guns and SAMs (surface to air missiles).
Along with the combat missions there are also some aerobatics missions. The programmers were kind enough to include some fast little bi-planes and crop duster type prop aircraft to aid you in this.
I first played the game on the old Amiga console. When it came to PC, I was wrapped. Although the downloaded version lacks some graphics resolution, it is still a great game to play, full of ground pounding explosions, intense dog fights and heart jumping ground hugging flight. Over all, it’s a fun game well worth playing.
