Madness Interactive by the Madness Combat site is a humorous game full of slaughter and violence (including many weapons such as the Desert Eagle or the Rocket Launcher). This game is very simple and easy to understand (kill everything you see) although it is hard to master. It features many options to play such as single player which will keep you going for hours, or the challenge modes (one such mode you get to throw knives at somebody for a minute) made to challenge you at the reward of cheats to make the game more interesting (and easier).
It also features a tutorial and an experimental mode which allows you to practice with all the weapons against limitless numbers.
The storyline on single player is set in a suburban town, you start with no weapons but gain them as you shoot, slaughter and blow your way through many levels that will test your accuracy and co-ordination to kill your enemies before they get a shot at your hide. Each level gives you the choice of one of three special upgrades to increase your capacity eventually turning you into a killing machine; however you can still go down easily if you become careless. Eventually you will have to battle a ‘religious icon of great and holy name’. So one would advise the religiously
sensitive to keep an open mind to the storyline.
The other modes will also keep you going for hours as you can fight hordes of ‘Agent Smiths’ off The Matrix. You can also go laser dodging or even get out your shotgun and blast a few zombies.
The graphics (on their maximum setting) are excellent, smooth, and satisfying when you rip through your enemies. The backgrounds are a little basic on the single player mode but I guess you would care more about your enemies that anything else.
The music is based on the same few tracks, so it is very basic; however it is still effective, it creates a good atmosphere towards your goal of endless murder. Although the music can get boring, you do not really notice it while you are playing the game.
The controls on the game set at default are simple, but if not likes then you can set it to your own controls. Sometimes the mouse can be slow to respond on slower computers; however it runs on most machines, so that is a plus.
So in closing I would recommend this game to anyone up for a bit of cheap fun, because this game is excellent (better if downloaded) for laughs and stress-relief.
