Metal gear solid was one of the best games I ever played. It had some of the greatest action and strategy involvement that I had witnessed in any play station game... It even gave the possibility to complete it more than one time as you would gain special rewards depending on the difficulty you chose at the start. Also lots of the choices you make within the game decide what happens at certain parts. My favorite part in the game is where you have to fight psycho mantis.

It is a very tough battle.
I enjoyed hiding in boxes and escaping from guards. As the game is not just about run, shoot and kill. It also requires a lot of stealth. Other games you would like, perhaps, if you like MGS, are games such as; splinter cell, rainbow 6, etc. After I played Metal Gear Solid for the first time and received my bandana which gave me the ability to have infinite bullets, I read a website which told me about stealth. I was adamant that I wanted it so of course I tried my best to complete the game over again.
It is so satisfying to complete the game even once but twice was really fulfilling.

the best strategy game for the play station in my opinion anyway- as well as its sequels; metal gear solid 2, 'special missions', snake eater, etc. Although the game didn’t last very long - the time it did last I had a superb time playing, and would advise any adamant strategy / sci-fi fans to get this now and give it a go. It’s similar to Tomb Raider in the sense you have to strategize as well as be quick and good at hard bosses etc.
The game took me about 2 - 3 days to complete, but I played it pretty hardcore. For a game rating id say that this game is easily 9/10. Possibly 10/10 but I don’t want to over-rate it, as this is simply my opinion. The good thing about this game is that there are many walkthrough etc online to help you if you get stuck, just to give you that extra edge on the tricky parts. The only downside is that some of the bosses can be quite tricky, in particular the final boss.

This story is awesome. It will leave you saying 'holy crap!' The story is among the best. But the metal gear series storylines have always been awesome, even since metal gear. But metal gear solid takes it to a whole new level.
>Graphics
For the time this game was made it has fairly good graphics. But that was when game companies first started doing 3D models and textures. As I already said this game takes graphics to a whole new level. Compare metal gear to metal gear solid and there is a big difference. But yet again this was only the beginning to an awesome saga that is metal gear solid.
>Gameplay
Fairly decent. I mean it is only a video game the radar is a little cheesy. Also the fact that you can walk up right behind someone and snatch them (you can do that in real life) but when you can hear the footsteps how can they not? Still it is pretty fun. Once again this game was a big upgrade from the original metal gear. Now you can see through snake’s eyes, there’s better particle effects, cool boss fights and what not.
>imagination
Ha, well what a fun topic. I think that the imagination in the characters and the bosses is quite good. The bosses are realistic. Like instead of fighting a boss that can electrify someone with their punch like in metal gear solid 3, the bosses are a type of realistic (well how do you say this) person.
>Weapons
Well they are fun to play with. Walk up to someone put some c4 on their back and let them walk by another guard and boom! Both are dead. That is if you can do that.
>Fun After Beating the game
At the end of the (depending on what you do) you can get the optics camouflage, which lets you be invisible for as long as you want, and my favorite the infinite ammo bandanna which obviously gives you infinite ammo. Which lets you cause complete destruction.

Metal Gear Solid is the first game I really liked . This game is a classic . The codename of the playable character is Snake. It is a stealth action video game . This game was published in 1998 for the play station console.

Metal Gear SOLID is definitely a solid game. When it was first released it has recieved good reviews. The graphics are excellent too! This is an excellent game. I missed it. I'm downloading it to play it again!

I loved Metal Gear Solid when it first came out, and I got hooked off the free demo that I got from a video game shop. I played it 24/7 until I finished it. It is a classic and still holds its own against newer games.

This is still my favourite Metal Gear game, the gameplay is just awesome! Even now, I crack open this one for a blast, rather than playing the later installments that make use of better graphics etc.

The Metal Gear franchise is definitely one of the best ever. There are a lot of good games out there, but the Metal Gear series is the best. I have played every game except for the first two.

Really enjoyed this game and thought the story and cutscenes were awesome and the characters were all very cool, and the bad guys were very entertaining. I've always wanted to play this game again and was happy to find I could download it from here.

Probably the best game I've ever played in my life. Metal Gear invented the stealth genre when it was on the NES, and this game pushed the Tactical Espionage Action further. The best in the MGS series, in my opinion.

MGS was really the best game I ever played in my whole life. Since Atari up to PS3, MGS will remain the best of the best. Multi ending , rewards, tears, fun and many other things what could a gamer ever thing to see in a game.
