Now, I'm going to write this review strictly from memory. After reviewing this game, I hope to be able to download it and enjoy it again. I remember coveting Nightmare Creatures 2 way back in the day. I first played this game back in high school on the Play Station 1. I bought it and after playing it for a while I decided that I really did like it. It does have a few glitches in it that involve collision detection and camera control, but there are some really satisfying things in the game.

This game is a third-person adventure/fighting game. It plays a lot like the Fighting Force games without as much environment interaction. First of all, I did enjoy killing
the different monsters in the game. It was real fun to pick up a weapon and impale a giant insect-like zombie creature with it. Also, the items that you find and use in the game are also very fun to use. You can get an old-fashioned pistol, bombs and such.
The music in the game is also pretty cool as well as the sound effects. I remember the game having a Sleepy Hallow feel to it. I think someone famous had something to do with the music in the game. I don't think it was Nine Inch Nails (although I remember they did the Quake game on the Sega Saturn), but I think it was some music group like them that did the effects. I also remember enjoying the movies in the game.
The main bad guy in the game is this creepy doctor guy that does dissections on creatures that look almost human and he has a long face. I also remember being able to cut creatures in half with the various weapons in the game. It was one of the first really mature games that had this cool animation. The graphics were pretty good for the time although they were a bit too dark at times. But the game did have a great atmosphere to it.
The only problem I remember having with the game was the difficulty level on the boss fights. Basically you had to play each one quite a few times just to find the weakness and exploit it. Usually you would get killed pretty quickly so this could take quite a while. All in all the game was quite enjoyable and I would recommend it as a game everyone should at least try once.
