Game Review 1 (written by Shakh80) Added on: 08/11/2008
Anyone born in the early 80's or before will remember this being available in the arcade as well as a multiuse of platforms including the C64. At the time, it was well ahead of the game in terms of graphics and is a classic first person shooter.
You are put into a number of scenarios where you are out numbered by a ridiculous ratio of enemies including not only soldiers, but also tanks, helicopters and boats. There are plenty of weapons upgrades to help you on your merry way including ammo top ups and grenades. The best thing about the grenades is that the will instantly dissolve any enemies in the near proximity. Great stuff when you are completely stumped by the huge number of vehicles and enemies which can occupy your screen at any one time. The levels scroll horizontally (and no you can't scroll back as with most of these type of games), and span everything from Jungles to POW Camps. Just to make things a little more tricky the occasional POW or nurse/doctor will run across the screen amidst the chaos which of course you must avoid shooting.
Game Review 2 (written by Interrorgation2) Added on: 02/25/2007 I remember playing this game. I think, it was about six or seven years ago. A player runs through six action missions, with near impossible enemies shooting from all directions.
You begin the game in the Communication level. The enemies have taken over a communications tower and you have to take out their radio and satellites. But what’s this? You have limited ammo and grenades? No problem. See that dog over there? Maybe it’s a cat? Give them a few shots, and they will drop ammo for you. While animal rights activists may look down on your methods, it’s life or death: and, I think, you’re going to choose life.
Well, you’ve made your first skirmish with some enemies and taken a few hits. What’s a player got to do to get some health in this game? You can either find that rare health pickup, or to stand until you finish the level. If it’s not complicated enough, you also have to find and free any hostages (by being careful not to shoot them or harm them with explosives) as you go. The more hostages, the better the ending you receive (where the president of the United States himself commends you for your services).
Operation Wolf was one of the more entertaining shooters for the older generation consoles. Anyone looking for a bit of nostalgia should definitely consider this game.Comments

Duffnoob (08/31/2008) I liked this game alot. Thought it was the shizzle for its time, and it brings back lots of old school memories.Marni1 (08/24/2008) Very fun game, I've never played this version but the others that i have (nes & arcade) were addictive.Lee63 (08/18/2008) This game brings back memories of many hours lost in amusement arcades in caravan parks up and down the coast. Just don't use all your grenades too quickly!Ronald78 (08/13/2008) This game is awesome! I played it often in the era that the pc-mouse was almost too high tech for our PC.
