Prehistorik is the game that actually means more than anything to me. When there was nothing, only Microsoft DOS, there was Prehistorik. Everyone that had a computer at that time, which were not many, knew Prehistorik. It was like a big change, it was something unbelievable.
I never made it to the last level or anything, but most of my friends did. I was playing all the time but I am just not good at games.
Prehistorik is a totally addictive game, there are no other words to explain it.
It is just addictive and so much fun.
Even my parents at that time would threaten me with taking away my Prehistorik if I didn’t study, not just me all my friends and cousins were at the same situation. They would only tell us that they would take away our Prehistorik, to scare us and make us study, and you know what? We would DEFINITELY study, study like crazy just to make sure it won’t be taken away from me.
As someone today would probably say it has an annoying music, but that music becomes so sweet after a while, that’s how you can understand you are addicted.
When I think about it, it is a very simple game that feeds your instincts. We all know graphics
are not that complicated and perfect, actually it was unbelievably perfect for its time, but other than that it is just hitting things on the head to get food. It feels good probably because it is the basic thing that human beings did.
Basically this is the only game that I will never forget. I played so many others after that, games and graphics that are almost like real, but Prehistorik is the sweetest memory I have still.
When people at my age, start to talk about these things Prehistorik will sure be mentioned and we all will get excited and start to talk about it like crazy. Even though that we play so many other games and finish most of them, the one that finished Prehistorik, will be respected. It is weird, but it’s the truth. Prehistorik is like a secret code of people my age that we will never forget.
Today I try to play the game, I’m just not that passionate anymore, but it still makes me smile. I can’t be patient and play so many hours without being able to save but still, after all the games I played I will say that Prehistorik is my favorite game.
