With it being a 2D game it does not run as slowly as a 3D game would, making this game a little more appealing as it runs quickly enough for over the top battles.

characters give it the change it needs from the other Samurai Shodown series. This game can relate to other games such as street fighter and mortal kombat. If you enjoyed either of those games you would definitely love this one as well. The game can be very tricky just as like it can be very easy. The difficulty level will change with each opponent you are fighting against. Once you figure out which characters are easier than others you will be able to compete at your own level.
The story line of this game was written incredible. With the game being so fast paced it does become rather difficult if you are playing it with a keyboard, but if you do have a joystick or pad it will become far easier for you. The game does tend to progress very quickly which means you will have to be on your toes to battle some of the greatest fighters that you will ever compete in any fighting game. When you use a different combination of moves it will make it easier for you to win. The more moves you use the more likely you are to win the battle.
Samurai Shodown vs. MUGEN takes place in a time where the only people that could survive were the strong. With the skilful mix of cultures and fighting styles that are available with this game it gives itself that new feel that is needed for games that can relate to other games. If you have played previous Samurai Shodown games you may recognize most of the characters that are available in the game and the moves that they use. If you enjoy martial arts then there is no doubt you will enjoy this very exciting combat game.
