This a great game. With four different tables and a ton of music it's the best pinball game I've ever played. I was first introduced to it by, get this, my dad. We used to have a competition going. Not only did we compete to see who could beat the high score first, but also who could get the highest score total. Mean machines was the table of his choice, and we'd rack up the points. There's several different goals you can aim for on that table and plenty of multi ball action.

There's several different goals you can aim for on that table and plenty of multi ball action. Instead of playing with just one ball at a time, try for three, or four, maybe five, or perhaps six, or, on the rare and extremely lucky occasion, up to SEVEN
balls at one time.
My favorite was ace of space, where you can not only gain points rapidly, you can earn free balls every round you play, and you can fly a racer bike or dodge walls to escape an exploding space ship. You can gain levels of warp speed too. You have chances to earn bonus points, or double your bonus points. You can get two times, four times, eight times, or even TEN times the bonus points per round.
There's also a pirate level, where you can sword fight for your very life; you can dodge cannon balls. You can also outrun an alligator, or if hunting is more your style, you can hunt down a map-stealing monkey. This level is a fair bit harder to rack up the points, but that just means it's a greater challenge and more worth winning.
Slam Tilt also has multi-player modes with each player taking turns. You can have up to four players at any given time. The standard game STARTS with three balls, or lives, when one looses a ball, it's the next players turn and so on, until each person has had a turn. Then it starts back with the first player on their second ball. This carries on until all players have exhausted all lives. HOWEVER, if, say the second player has earned an extra ball on any level, when he looses his ball instead of it rotating to the next player, he immediately gets to play the extra ball. Only when all extra balls are used does it switch to the next player.
The graphics in this game are really good considering it was first developed for use with Windows '95.
