Game Review (written by Poohead999) Added on: 03/07/2008
Solar Winds is one of my favourite games. It is responsible for many overdue assignments and sleepless nights, kudos to the music. I found this game at the age of 10, when my dad found a classic games disc. I put it in the computer and was immersed into the amazing world of classic gaming. Solar winds was my particular favourite. When I began to play it, I was instantly hooked.
In this game you are sent on a variety of missions, some extremely dangerous, as it takes you to the outer reaches of the sector.
One particular sector is responsible for many of my deaths and as my computer 'kindly' did not allow me to save, I could not reload. Anyway, you eventually get given a hyper drive and sent of the most annoying missions in history. At the very early stages of the game, you meet an alien who gives you the co-ordinates of a particular planet. Unfortunately, this planet was in an extremely far away sector, and you required the hyper drive to get there in less than an hour. There are several more long travel missions, some that must be done in a short amount of time.
Nevertheless, Solar Winds is a great game. With the immersive graphics and weapons system, with the addition of
Solar Winds 1Solar Winds 1Solar Winds 1
a great adjusting system, where you could adjust the power of your shields, weapons, and even put some fuel reserves for the hyper drive. It is an enjoyment for anyone who has played a game such as Raptor.
I give Solar Winds an 8/10.

solor wind is one of the best space games ive played. Its an old game but must of the new games out there dont have the fun this game had. The graphiques of the game are good for the time it was made. This game is about running around on a space ship from star to star doing quest and stuff. I think this game is a little like starcontrol accept it has les choices to make. i give this game a 8 out of 10
