Game Review (written by Peterd23) Added on: 04/21/2007
I played this game a while ago back in 1998 when I first got the game, oh, it was amazing as soon I started playing it. The game play was really good with the challenging enemies and puzzling challenges, the graphics were very good for a game made in 1997, I didn't manage to actually play multiplayer though, and I didn't manage to finish the game either because it was really puzzling, but it was a really good game. I now have a much better computer but can still run old games very well.
I didn't really know which area was my favorite in the game because they were all really cool, the zoo, the subway, the prison institute with the escaped inmates. I really found the psycho suicide bombers with the dynamite strapped to them really annoying, especially if they're in groups of mainly 5 or 6. I’d have to blow them up with a laser rifle or shotgun.
The shotgun was good, it may have been the default weapon in the game but it was a really powerful weapon, it just stuck with me a lot of the time when I needed it, the only problem was it was ineffective against the rats, I ended up having to use the rubbishy crossbow to take them out.

favorite weapon has to be the laser rifle, it is just an excellent weapon of choice, it bounces of walls and annihilates any victim it hits, but with the robots in the TCM Industrial park it’s a different story, it usually takes about 6 or 7 to take them out depending on what color of armor it has. The robots were quite peculiar, they needed to get into a position to shoot you so if you keep moving and shooting, they go down easily, I’ve always wondered, “Their AI script should be a bit more intelligent.”
The reason why I never actually finished the game is because the plot is quite hard to follow, I know you need a special crystal to put in a dome to win the game but I don’t know what it does to win the game. I’ve seen this game as an “Apocalypse Now” type game so maybe it has something to do with the worlds economy being corrupt, gangs of psychotic nerds, religious jedi type people and mechanical terrors taking over parts of the city and killing anyone they see, the whole world turning into a wasteland, that’s what I think this game is about.

This game had a lot of influence on me when I was a kid and I still play this game because of that.

This game is trully complex and the intensity level is fun for children of all ages. You can't help but enjoy this high octane energy game.
