An early game by Cinema ware, who were the masters at adapting stories to computer games such as the classic Wings for the Amiga and Defender of the Crown.
In The Three Stooges you play the role of our three popular black & white movie heroes who come across an orphanage desperately in need of money. Of course our beloved philanthropists are willing to do all they can to come up with the cash to save the orphanage, maybe even fix it up a bit.
The game is played over 30 days; each day begins with the stooges picking a job to do for the day using Moe’s hand that moves randomly over the choices available. There are nine different options, not all of them are always available. Waiters, doctors, boxing, crackers, trivia, and money will earn you some cash, land on the evil banker and you may lose money. Hit a mousetrap and you lose a finger as well as a day, lose all four fingers and the game finishes early. Having trouble landing your hand on the right choice? Then pick a fight with Larry and Curly, stooges style. If you win the fight your hand slows down, if you lose you’re at the mercy of a speeding
hand that will make the choices for you. All the mini games are full of stooges’ style antics, from throwing cream pies to driving mini cars through hospital corridors, which’s never wanted to do that.
All in all it’s too addictive and interesting game! I highly recommend it to everybody! I’m sure you’ll be delighted and satisfied!
