If you believe that all RPG to Fighter games are a complete failure, you have no idea how wrong you are. Valkyrie Fight Tag is probably one of my all time favorite Doujin games! The fighting system is just oozing with raw greatness, as well as easy to learn controls! Now, where this game gets really good is how the graphics held up. Utilizing nothing but sprites from an RPG to create a game sounds impossible, but it has been proven here. There are NO missing sprites at all, which means fluid, and smooth animation.
The effects just go on and on, nearly every graphic from Valkyrie Profile used for its playable characters. The sound is just flat out GREAT! I heard no static, no impurities in the music. But that’s the least of my concerns with sounds. I can't believe how well the vocals came out, perfectly syncing with the events onscreen, with NO lag-time. The sound effects are also raw awesome, the slashing and cutting sounds very good. Impact sounds could use a tad bit of work, but it has been a wonderful experience merely listening to the game. The backgrounds are also laid out very well, and I cannot help but stare at how good they look. And just as I keep typing, I will
keep playing. When I first got started with it, I was skeptical. Valkyrie Profile fighting game, it’s gonna blow. But how wrong I was. As soon as the screen went black and I arrived in DOS, the game basically tore me off my seat with all the features and raw awesome. I must have played for hours and hours, I was just hooked by it, and it seemed to be a permanent hook. Every time I got on "I wonder what else I could do in Valkyrie Fight Tag" and I did!
Oh! Before I forget, this game has awesome references to the actual Valkyrie profile, what was referenced? You'll have to find out for yourself! Now, I don't like to say premature things, but if you're a Valkirie Profile fan, then I can guarantee that you will adore Valkyrie Fight Tag. On an average, this game is overlooked far too often, so if you decide to not download now, you probably never will. I'd give it a 10/10 for Gameplay, 8/10 for Sound, 9/10 for Graphics, and 9/10 for replayability. All in all, this is a very good game to play. So buckle down for a while, it will have you for a long time.
