Game Review (written by Mugsy520) Added on: 04/25/2007
Wild Board Games was an excellent game. While it appeals more to youngsters (six to ten year olds) in aesthetic appeal, it is a lot of fun to older gamers. Included in this pack are Chess, Checkers, Reversi, Snakes and Ladders, and Puzzle Game (which is a sliding-puzzle game, not a jigsaw). In each you are pitted against a different animal. In Chess you are up against a rabbit, in Checkers you are up against a monkey, in Reversi you are up against a dog, and in Snakes and Ladders you are up against a chicken (the puzzle game is on your own).

You also have four different choices of where you want to play the chosen game: in the kitchen, the

attic, the backyard, or the basement.
In each area there are little things you can click on (like a side tic tac toe game when you play in the backyard). If you click on one while you are in the middle of the game, it temporarily pauses the game you had in progress, and lets you easily go back. I guess this appeals to the curiosity in all of us (and insures that we are not penalized for our curiosity)!
I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a quick puzzle fix. It works your brain and offers you three levels of play. Each game has it's own difficulty attached to it (you'll expect the chess to be more difficult than checkers, for instance) and it allows you to really figure out the best strategy.
If you give any puzzle game a chance this week, month, or even year, try Wild Board Games. I am sure you will not be disappointed by the colorful graphics, the silly animals, the intense thought needed to play them, and the strategy involved. It takes a lot to build a game like this, but it is quite easy to appreciate it to its full extent!
