This game was the subject of a nostalgic conversation last night and today I am playing it again after a 15 year absence. Computer games aren't made like they used to be!
This is one of the best geography games from the early 90s. I played this a lot as a kid and as a result, I learned a lot about geography. I still to this day know the capitals of random countries like Tonga. As a trivia buff, this helps me out a lot.

This is one of the best geography games from the early 90s. I played this a lot as a kid and as a result, I learned a lot about geography. We used to love the music that was played as the plane was flying to its destination; we enjoyed the stormy weather music even more.
The premise of the game was simple; you had clues
as to where you could find a variety of items in the world and a finite number of tickets in which to use. You had to find the quickest way from your home base to the items all the while avoiding stormy weather which could damage your cargo. The best home base was Hawaii because it was readily accessible all over the world. Some of the items you had to search for were items of cultural significance to the country like a didgeridoo, vegemite, kimono etc.
The graphics aren't amazing but that is what made the game great. I am not of the persuasion of PS3 people who like fancy graphics. Graphics can often hinder the fun of a game. Still to this day, nothing beats the 2D side scrolling action of Super Mario Brothers. The original game was one of the hardest created. Getting back to Bushbuck, the game has the standard blocky looking pixels that resemble the original Apple games of the 80’s or the original Nintendo Entertainment System (8 - Bit). The game is in color though. I find that it is a little choppy compared to the disk version that I have somewhere (but that could be due to the fact that my computer finds DOS games weird).
All in all, this game will provide you with entertainment, entertainment and nostalgia. Download the game for a blast from the past that not only amuses you, but also will educate you....and remember the world has changed since this game came out; it's funny to see the USSR mentioned. Gather some friends, a globe, some drinks and popcorn and spend an evening being kids again. I'm sure you will enjoy it!
