Game Review 1 (written by Rpageiii) Added on: 09/11/2006
Number Munchers is a great way to learn mathematics. It's entertaining and makes math easier to remember. I enjoyed Number munchers as a child and it made such and impression on me that even now, at age 30, I retain fond memories and would like my kids to enjoy it. Even though I have not played neither seen Number Munchers in about 18 years, I can still visualize the game-play. Number Munchers really made a lasting impression on me as a child.
The game-play is entertaining and allows a kid to learn without even trying.
The repetitive computations engrave basic math on young minds. I remember there was a wonderful program in elementary schools where half an hour in the library at the computer to play either Number Munchers or the Oregon Trail Game was rewarded to good students. Many students were eager to play these games. I'm still enthusiastic about Number Munchers which is why I'm taking to time to write this review just so my kids can have the game and learn from it. I suppose I'd just buy a copy had I'd thought of it. In any case, I believe Number Munchers would be a great addition to any library of learning tools. I'd advise all parents to take a look into getting Number Munchers

for their children.
It will teach and entertain the children for hours. It will make math easier for their children. Math will no longer have to be a dreaded subject for their kids. My oldest daughter is only four years old, but I believe Number Munchers will provide her with a distinct advantage in math over other kids when she begins kindergarten next year. She's already excited about it. And also, she gets a chance to become familiar with a computer at a young age.
With out a doubt, Number Munchers is an excellent tool to help children excel in math. Although my daughter is young, that is actually and advantage. Children's minds are ready to accept anything you pump into them and with Number Munchers, there's an excited way to fill them up. It helps children to quickly recognize basic mathematic problem and progresses as the child’s knowledge progress. I'm interested in what improvements have been made to Number Munchers over the past 17 years or so. Go Number Munchers!

Game Review 2 (written by Jnkempa) Added on: 07/25/2006
I played Number Munchers for the first time a couple of months ago and just absolutely loved it. Even though the graphics were simple and outdated the idea of Number Munchers was pretty cool. I do not know any other games out there that are like this really. I just really like the idea of playing a game that hones in on math skills. I have always wanted to be a teacher and work with children and I think that this game will come in handy when I am teaching a class about math. It’ll definitely make math fun when you are playing this game and you want to stay away from the bad guys. Sometimes I would get a little trigger happy and would eat the wrong numbers and then I would die and be sad about it. However this just teaches you to pay more close attention and to watch what you are doing. I think that kids would really like this game because it is just so much fun. They would be learning without knowing they are actually learning. I spent a lot of this time just analyzing games and Number Munchers was one of them. The only thing I could find wrong with this game was that it was just a little outdated but the ideas behind it were just genius. I just love the idea behind this game!

Number Munchers, I played in third and fourth grade. It has helped me accelerate in all my addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. I think I got as high as level 15, then I lost. It is an awesome game, and one of the most memorable educational games in my life.

Number Munchers is a great learning game. Although education is moving away from 'rote memory' learning, math facts are essential. Number Munchers helps give children build a strong math foundation while having fun. Players are challenged to get basic math answers faster and faster to 'beat the game' and get the high score.

This game is the best! I loved it when I was 10 and now I'm over 30 and still love it! I've been looking all over for it for my kids.

I clearly remember playing this and Word munchers all the way into third grade. Even as late as sixth grade many others, including myself, enjoyed Super Munchers. I don't know if it helped me with my math skills but I do feel that it made the answers to simple problems come much faster and the simple math problems are basis for all other and usually more difficult ones. The skills that it promotes are as valid today as they were over a decade ago and it is still a very accessible game for the children of today.

This game still provides me with great joy even though I have gotten older. It's one of the few educational games I would play over and over again. Who needs graphics and music when you have munchers and toggles?

Number Munchers is an awesome game. I would recommend this game for children and adults, especially children in elementary school that might struggle with math or that grown up who thinks they know all maths! Happy Numbers!
