Game Review (written by Megasonic) Added on: 05/12/2007
This is a game for the very young. I remember playing it continuously along with another game made by the same company, the tree house. The game is surely one of the games that I hold great memories of. However, unless you also played the game in your youth or unless you have a child who may enjoy the game it does not have any attractive features. There really isn't that much to do if you think about it, but the simplicity of the games and activities is what can hook a child, all the while they will be learning about numbers, time, etc.

I personally had two favorite activities in the game. The first was to open a drawer and allow a red balloon to float around the room. After a while, I would pop the balloon and let another balloon out. Second, I always enjoyed the mini-board game. The player would click on the mouse hole to enter the game and then choose from three different boards of three different lengths. If I'm not mistaken, the game pieces were a mouse and a robot. In fact, the mouse and robot along with several other interesting characters such as a dragon, made out the cast in all the mini-games and activities.
The character that always intrigued me the most was a green one-eyed creature that stayed at the bottom

of the main screen. Considering the graphics of today's games I wonder if a child would accept the old clunky graphics of the playroom. Nonetheless, the game is truly an educational masterpiece. One of the greatest features of the game is the way that it can satisfy a child's curiosity. I mentioned the balloon earlier, but from the main screen the only way to have fun is to discover the fun on your own by clicking and exploring. Of course it has been a long while since I have played the game, but one can be assured that the playroom literally offers the experience of a virtual playroom.
There aren't too many activities that would spoil a kid and there is enough to let imagination grow. Even exiting the game was an experience in itself when I was young. I'm not sure how popular the game was around the time of its release, or even how many people remember this game, but I know it had an impact on me and would have had an impact on any child who played the game.
