I remember playing this game for many years as a kid. It is one of my favorites, and brings back great memories every time I play it.
As with most of the super solver games, they were intended to be educational, however most of them proved to be quite enjoyable, so they have been one of my favorite games to play ever since. Treasure cove take a little while, to beat, because the first few sections of the rainbow that you are trying to construct take only a short time to complete, but the last bit before you get to the island seems to take an eternity.
The graphics are obviously not like today's 3d, but they are very bright and colorful, and as far as most dos games go, I feel it looks better than most of the others. The incentive of trying to catch that dastardly nemesis Morty Maxell is very entertaining, and most kids will find this game to be very enjoyable, and with its simple command interface they will not struggle to play this game. At the same time they will be learning some of the basic math skills that will allow them to succeed in the early grades of school.
If you want your children to learn some basic math skill, or to just get them out of your hair for
a couple of hours, treasure cove is a great choice as is all of the super solvers games. Kids as young as age 6 all the way to people who remember playing this game will enjoy it greatly, and it is worth the time to download.
Don’t let the fact that this game is classified under educational it is also very much so entertaining, anyone who can still run dos games on their computers should consider downloading this game. Just make sure you don’t plan on beating it in one day, due to the larger amount of time it takes to complete the whole main objective. If treasure cove is somewhat entertaining to you, but not exactly what you are looking for, I would suggest taking a look at either gizmos and gadgets, or treasure mathstorm, once again two entertaining educational games produced by the learning company under the super solvers title.
