Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego, the enhanced version, is an excellent game for young children to play to learn about geography and the states. This game takes learning about geography and makes it fun by having the player track down different vile henchmen until their ranking is high enough that they can go after Carmen Sandiego herself.
The player will call up a travel agency onscreen and will be transported to many different locations across the United States, all with the click of a mouse.
Once arriving at a destination, the player has a choice of either asking a local, searching the area, or dialling up crimenet on the phone. They will learn where the criminal is going next, along with possibly some details about the criminal as well.
Once enough information is collected about a henchman, the player can get a warrant for that criminal's arrest. If you don't have a warrant, the vile henchman will go free and you will lose that case.
This is a very fun and educational game that is great for all ages to play and enjoy. The sound is nice, with a different theme music for each of the fifty unique states, as well as different music when the vile henchmen
come on the screen. The graphics aren't much to look at, but this is an older game, so this can be excused. The writing is somewhat lacking, but given that this is an educational geography learning game for children, and not a point and click adventure game, this small flaw in the game can be easily forgiven.
I give this game a six out of a possible ten points on my grading system. I hope this review was helpful to those looking to download this game.
