This game was always fun to play. This game was kinda like the game Rome Total War, for PC. It took a lot of strategy to do, and was always fun. You had to manage armies in battle. They would move in regiments, and fight the enemy. When their morale was shaken, they would run, just like in Rome.
It was in 3d, so you could move the camera around and see the battle from everywhere. The Camera was very helpful and made it able to see the battle from all views.
I could watch the bloodbath from up close, or stay back and watch it from afar. Either way didn't matter because it was still fun. You could have huge battles with thousands of troops on the screen at once, and it was intense and fun.
There were 5 campaigns that covered a lot of history about Europe in the 13th century, and many playable factions, such as the English, Russians, Spanish, French, and Polish. The battles were reconstructed from the actual battle, which made it seem like you actually participated in the battle, due to the great graphics. You could also change many different options for custom battles, which made it different and fun every time you played. Overall it was a great fun game to
play in custom matches.
The Campaigns covered most history, such as Joan of Arc and Philip II Augustus. The campaigns could be set on several different difficulties, and were therefore made a challenge. They also got harder as the campaign wore on. Another thing you could do was to carve an empire out in Europe. You could pick where to attack and when. That was another aspect just like Rome Total War. You sometimes started off with only one area, and had to grow. Sometimes you started off with more, and had to defend your land against marauding hordes like the Huns and Vandals.
Now to talk about the graphics. The graphics looked amazing for an RTS. The ground was very well drawn, and soldiers themselves were amazingly detailed, almost lifelike. They made you feel like part of the battle. It was amazing just to see the sun glint off of their shields, or look at the day break during a battle, or to see it set. It was really cool to watch cavalry charge, because you could see the dust clouds. This game was amazingly fun and I suggest that everybody who reads this get the game.
