Baku Baku animal was segas easy answer to Puyo Puyo, later on that job was taken on by Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine which was a more successful title relying heavily on the popularity of Sonic the hedgehog.
The game Baku Baku Animal relies very heavily on it's cute graphics and despite the addictive game play it does lose out to the titles aimed at the slightly older age range such as Puyo Puyo and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, simple based on the difficultly factor. The game would not take many people long to master and the rewards for finishing the game are some what disappointing and don't feel much after you have spent so long progressing through the games levels.
