Chip's Challenge is an excellent classic PC game. With over a hundred levels of different difficulties, Chip brings hours of game play and fun for people of all ages. It is an extremely repayable; the gamer often finds him or her replaying different levels just to beat their own time record. You do not need to remember passwords, everything is saved automatically, and if the game finds that you are having difficulty, they give you the opportunity to even skip the level and go on to the next.
When you defeat the game, you are always welcomed to go back to previous levels that you have skipped. The game does not have any difficult rules to follow. The graphics are not as good as many of today's games, but that is because it is a very old game. It does not take too much space on the computer, though, and is more enjoyable than many of today's games. I loved to play Chip's challenge when I was a kid, maybe around five years old or younger, and when I found the game on my PC recently, I squealed with joy.
I still love this game, and I even remember many of the solutions of the puzzles. You will never
get sick of Chip's Challenge. The only part of the game that I never really liked, even today, is the theme music that is constantly played in the background. It tends to get very annoying, but you can always turn it off. If you get stuck on a level, you can always restart it quickly and efficiently no matter where you are in the game, by simply pressing the "control" key and the "r" key. I actually used that a lot.
Patience is needed for this game, there are times where if you do one thing wrong, you can't continue on with the level. As frustrating as it might sound, it really isn't. None of the levels are so long that restarting a level makes you lose a lot of the stuff you got during the level. That is another thing that separates Chip's Challenge with today's video games. If you do not save, you lose all of those special items that took hours and hours to find. With Chip's Challenge, there is no need to worry so much. It is not a chore or a hassle to redo a level to gain whatever you missed.
You will not be so frustrated when you close the window by accident. Nothing is lost. Play Chip's Challenge! Let your friends play it. Even let your dog play it. They will all enjoy it.
