I played this game with my father when I was younger. I was never very good at it, but then again I was never good at any videogames, I was twelve. I remember the graphics were very different than our Intellivision. I remember one time my dad was playing it and he got to such a high level, higher than he had ever gotten before and the game was going so fast. I was amazed at how fast my dad was playing.

I remember one time my dad was playing it and he got to such a high level, higher than he had ever gotten before and the game was going so fast. I was amazed at how fast my dad was playing. But then the seeker beat my dad’s gapper and he lost. I believe his high score is still on the game. I have not played it in years though, so I really do not know.
There really is
not much to say about the Gapper, it was overall a simple game, I was just never fast enough to win. I would win the lower levels but after that I was screwed. In all the game reminds me of pacman. You had to change all the colors of the rectangles before the seeker defeats you. All you need to do is take the gapper over all the colored rectangle and change their color.
When you got to higher levels in the game the rectangles because smaller and there were more of them that you had to hit. So by the end of the game the seeker would be moving extremely fast and you would have to get all of the little rectangles. I can not remember if there became more seekers as you went to higher levels. To the best of my memory I do not remember there being more than one seeker only that when the level became higher and higher the seeker moved faster and faster and it was harder to get away from it before it killed you. There was also something like a gap in the game where only the gapper could move over it and if you needed to get away from the seeker quickly you could move over the gap and the seeker would have to go around, giving you more time to get out of the way before it would kill you. And it would give you a better chance at winning the game and moving on to the next level. But you need to watch out for the seeker, it is a sneaky thing and can come out of no where and attack you. It can attack you from all different angles when you least expect it.
The game was invented in 1986 and it was created by DOS who created many games that we may still play today with our family and friends.
