This is another commodore 64 game brought to life with DOS. This is one of my favourite all time game show games for any system. The only one I like more is Family Feud. Jeopardy 4th edition for DOS is a little low on graphics memory, but this version of DOS makes your modem click and make sounds for all the sounds of the game and is a little annoying cause you have to listen to it unless you turn your modem sound off, which is what I ended up doing anyway because I listen to music and other stuff while playing games.

There are tons of questions for you to answer and it took quite a long time for me to come across any repeats. The character models are actually quite good for the limited amount of capabilities. But still the gameplay and the fun value for this game is out of this world. If you are a fan of game show games and jeopardy then give this game a try.
The questions are old so you won’t get anything newer than late 80's questions but it’s all good if you are smart. Sometimes I think that the computer players are some sort of super genius players because they ring in a lot so you got to be quick. And their answers are rarely

wrong which can get you highly agitated when there is a lack of questions that you know and the computer players all have a lot of money while you are stuck with just a little amount of money. It’s heartbreaking really.
If you are smart and know a lot of stuff pre 1990 then go ahead and give this game a try, but if you are young and know nothing about information before 1990 then try one of the jeopardy games for the newer systems this one definitely isn’t for you. But for those that do download it prepare for one of the hardest games of jeopardy that you have ever played in your whole life, but don’t get discouraged there will be rounds with a bunch of categories that you will know and then you will dance around and feel like a genius, at least that’s what I did.

Game Review 2 (written by Sayanything) Added on: 03/28/2007
The first time I played Jeopardy! 4th Edition was at my friend's house. I'm not exactly sure what age I was at the time, but I liked the game a lot. The game itself is like the TV show. The game simulates the whole Jeopardy game. You have the feeling of participating in the real game. The way you win the game is by answering the questions correct and obtaining however much money that question is worth. You choose from six categories of questions, from questions varying from one hundred to five hundred dollars (with the amount doubling after the first round.) If you answer the question incorrectly your amount of money will go down. You have only thirty seconds to answer the question once the clue is given (your answer is secret until the thirty seconds are over.)
Jeopardy! 4th Edition's graphics could be greatly improved, but the game itself is rather old. It was made many years ago, but it’s still cool. I liked the fact that the game itself is fun and you get the knowledge from the clues, questions, categories, correct answers and even incorrect answers.
I never thought I'd play Jeopardy! 4th Edition on a Windows XP, but I've always wished to. I love the game Jeopardy! 4th Edition a lot, I'm very glad this game is now available to older computers through this website.

This game can be fun, but I need to play with other people. It is so hard to beat the computer on the more difficult settings.

A must have for any jeopardy fan. Takes that classic game you love and brings it in the present!
