You are given an insight on the challenges faced by the architect Maurice de Sully
in building such a grand and beautiful cathedral.
As you build some parts of the cathedral, you can set them aside in a tray so that you can combine all the constructed puzzle pieces together later on to form the whole puzzle.
The video clips are not as visually appealing as the puzzle details itself and the gamer will likely find more pleasure in solving the puzzles than in discovering historical facts about the church. Still these videos are a welcome treat.
There are four difficulty levels for the game and you can choose whether to play the advanced, more difficult form of the puzzle, or an easy one. The easy level has fewer puzzle pieces than the more difficult levels. The Easy level only has 138 puzzle pieces while the most challenging level has 919 pieces. Once you have completed building the cathedral you are given the key that will open the cathedral and reveal all the hidden secrets inside.
To make the game easier to solve, you are given an over head perspective and also a 3-D perspective of the puzzle pieces. The pieces also snap together when you put the right pieces together.
If you enjoy solving puzzles then this is definitely a game for you. It can also be a good game for the whole family as it provides wholesome fun and some historical facts. Since this is essentially a jigsaw puzzle, there is no sense in playing this game over and over. Since you will most likely play this game just once, I suggest going for the more difficult setting. Just download it, play it once and you no longer have to keep the game installed in your PC. After you play the Notre Dame puzzle, you can try the other puzzles from puzz3d.
