One of the greatest TV game shows of all time has made its grandest appearance on the PC. Get ready for an intense battle with your opponents as you try to quickly buzz in to correctly give the question for the answer given. If you are wrong, you lose money, but if you are smart enough (or lucky enough!) to get the right answer, then you can watch as your money grows and grows! Match your wits against your opponents to win the game and take home a bunch of money.
There are a lot of decisions to be made in this game. You have to decide which category to choose from. What dollar amount you want to try for. How much you want to risk on Daily Doubles. Then of course, the one that will make any person sweat: Deciding how much to risk on the Final Jeopardy question! Can you handle the intense pressure of wagering big bucks to win the game? Though you aren't using real money, the gameplay is strong enough to pull you in.
Super Jeopardy is one of the greatest Jeopardy games ever created for DOS. When this game first came out, the graphics were far above and beyond what we had ever experienced before in a TV game
show ported over to the PC. It totally blew my mind away the first time that I played it. The rich colours and more lifelike computer characters make this a game that is enjoyable to look at as you take time out of your busy day to play it.
Like most Jeopardy games, after you have played it for awhile, you will begin to see some of the same questions reappearing from time to time. This begins to take the fun out of it, unless you are into really creaming the computer. Speaking of the computer: please realize that in this version of Jeopardy that the computer is pretty smart. In the previous versions you were almost certain to be given the first chance to buzz in and answer, but in Super Jeopardy you must be quick on the button!
This game is now 15 years old! It does not seem that long ago when I purchased this game on floppy disk! Can you remember back when games came on floppy disk? I still have the original disk, but unfortunately it is no longer working. While a lot of games have been made and created since 1991, this is still one of my favourites to come back to!
