Game Review (written by Aike1234) Added on: 10/30/2006
Tetris is probably the best puzzle game created. The game may appear to be relatively easy in the early stages but the difficulty does pick up and can be pretty addicting. The fact that the game is a puzzle game should be taken into account. If you have not already experienced Tetris and know you love it, and can tolerate what may be conceived as some as repetitive stage after stage, you should not use a download for this game.
The game plays as anyone who has ever seen the game would expect.

The game plays as anyone who has ever seen the game would expect. Pieces fall down and you form complete rows to score some points, and you continue to do that till you lose the game or your attention span ends. The controls are

not complex. Very limited on what you can actually do besides rotate the pieces, move from side to side, and increase the rate at which the pieces drop.
The music is pretty solid considering when the game was released. Music does not get old unless you play the game for an obnoxious amount of time. Also the graphics are really quite suitable for the game play or rather the game as a whole. There isn’t really a need for graphics better than what is given for such a simple game. There is a bit of a Russian overtone in terms of a couple
backgrounds but it is really irrelevant to everything. Merely provides different back drops that go with the music well, or may just appear that way after playing the same stages over and over.
If you have played one Tetris game you have played them all. On a side note there is nothing that really sets this game apart from the dozen other Tetris games out there and so it may not be the ideal download for someone who still has an NES, Play Station copy or whatever. Also newer cell phones have Tetris free demos on them already. Although the demos don’t get as difficult as this game will, the downloading of this game really comes down to if you really want to spend hour after hour playing seeming the same old scenario. Diversity is a key lacking aspect of this game yet still the true fans of this game will likely download it regardless of if they have a copy on something else that offers the exact same game play just with different backgrounds and music.

Not only is Tetris addictingly fun, the soundtracks to the old Nintendo versions get stuck in your head for weeks on end.

Truly the granddaddy of all puzzle games! Highly addictive and yet so simple. Also a relaxing game. If you haven’t tried it before it’s worth a look.

Tetris was one of the first games I ever got. It was the coolest game and has continued to be, through the years.

It's a classic. How can you beat the simplistic, yet engaging spatial stacking game of Tetris?

Tetris is a very good game if you’re into strategy. It’s a game about blocks. You have to get the rows to disappear by joining the blocks together.
