Krondor! Welcome to the amazing and creative world sent to us direct from Raymond E Fiest! Immediately after loading this game you are transported into a most original and captivating world full of enchantment, excitement, and awesome wizardry!!
Based on the novels by the all time favorite fantasy novelist Raymond E Fiest (Magician, Silverthorn, Darkness at Sethanon, etc. etc.), this role playing game leads you through a developing story of a world in potential chaos, strife, and betrayal! You assume the role of commanding up to three heroes at any given time, which start off impeccably weak, however as the game progresses, you have the opportunity to gain experience and continuously improve the wide range of skills, abilities, and items that are essential for successfully progressing throughout the many levels of this game.

The game graphics are incredibly good considering the age of this game, and it is truly one of the first real 3d role-playing game, following closely in the footsteps of Wolfenstein and spear of destiny. The game supports sound blaster (this was a truly amazing feed back in the day it came out!) with a well mastered and truly catching background tune that will stick with you long after your mum kicks you off the computer and sends you to bed because of school tomorrow!!!
The game-play is truly addictive, with levels progressing at a reasonable rate, however never leaving the player too advanced, not unable to conquer their enemies. There are many tricks and tactics to be learnt which can make the game

more enjoyable and enable the player to progress at a much faster rate; however it also supports the ability for players to simply wander off task and explore the world at their own leisure.
Throughout the entire game there is something new and interesting arising for the player to explore and discover, presented in the form of some masterfully written scripture, not to mention the awesome font!!! There are also movies played throughout the game (between levels) that further the story. The most powerful aspect of this game lies in the depth and scope of characters, which truly draw you in and captivate your imagination in this wonderful world of magic.
All in all, this is perhaps one of the best games I’ve ever played (don’t be fooled by the crappy sequels!) and I would rate it 5/5 stars without blinking.

I really enjoyed the book this was based on, and when I played the game it was exactly as I had imagined it in my mind.

This is an original game, each chest has a different code, and there are over 500 chests, lots of detail in this game. Even though it is a linear design it has enough fun to keep you occupied. Very enjoyable

Great game and story. When I originally played it I remember feeling tense and afraid to die at parts. Like when you wander randomly in the forest.

This is one of my favorite games of all time for 3 main reasons. The nostalgia behind playing this game comes back when it came out, the fact it is just an amazing game, and the music. The music is wonderful!

I really enjoyed this game. However, a warning - be prepared to be patient, with an attention to detail, because there are many people to talk to, and (optional) small quests to complete. It is not at all obvious what to do in some of the chapters unless you carefully listen to what people tell you.

Betrayal at Krondor is one of the most fun and classic rpg that every rpg fanatic would love to play. It is one of those games that you just cannot quit playing. You just have to see your character through the missions and constantly upgrade his weapons and spells. I highly recommend this game for anyone who enjoys a great rpg.

This game implemented a great feature which can actually be used with new games. It's just picking a good writer to write some background and "real", veritable universe. One game with a great script and very addictive.
