Role playing games

In a role playing game players take on the role of a character on a quest. Role playing games use statistics to develop a character's ability, like stamina or weapon skill, which improve as the character progresses through the role playing game's world. The role playing game genre did not originate on computer, but was quickly adopted by the medium.
