I need to warn you that the last time I played this game was more or less 10 years ago, so it is possible that I had different criteria back then. It is also possible that some of the details of the game escaped my mind.
Graphics: 8/10
Considering the time when this game was made the graphics is outstanding. The view of the movement is from above (sort of like Lara croft, only not nearly as well done). Scenery and objects are fairly detailed.

Considering the time when this game was made the graphics is outstanding. The view of the movement is from above (sort of like Lara croft, only not nearly as well done). Scenery and objects are fairly detailed. The makers obviously took a lot of effort to make this game borderline disgusting (the scenes of death, the huge insects, etc…), but as I have said before the graphics are very well done.
Sound: 10/10
One of the best game soundtracks
ever. I don’t remember if the tracks can be listened to outside of the game, but they would certainly be great background music. I do not really remember what the sound effects were like, but I would guess they were standard for that type of game.
The Story: 8/10
The story goes like this: you are a fist fighter who has arrived on an island (I don’t think they ever say why) to find a village that's being attacked by huge wasps or something of the sort. Later, you get sent away to a bigger island where people are drinking some strange jelly and celebrating a new type of worship involving giant bugs.
As you wander around the island you find your sister, who is involved with a partisan resistance to this new religion. They claim the jelly is intoxicating the people, that it's changing them. These claims turn out to be true, and it changes you as well.
You are then on your way to fight the menace, during your quest you enter a huge ant nest, a wasp nest, drink pheromones from the queen, etc.
Gameplay 7/10
Like I said before, this is a top down looking adventure. You start off as a normal human who just punches insects in order to kill them. As you gain experience through you gain spells from scrolls. Once you drink the mysterious jelly it gradually changes you into a strange half insect half human looking creature. Once you turn into one of those, you gain the ability to spit acid (more handy than fist fighting).
There are no levels in the game. You just progress as you uncover new parts of the world. Along the way you fight various kinds of huge insects, which are mostly ex humans that have metamorphosed after drinking the strange jelly.
I remember getting stuck at one point and do not really remember if managed to finish the game, like I said, I played the game over 10 years ago.
Overall: 8/10
A very interesting and engaging game if you are into adventures, and if you are an entomologist like myself
