Final Fantasy: Endless Nova is much like the earlier games for the Super Nintendo. It's short but like all Final Fantasy games its fun as hell. To be honest for an old school RPG this is one of the best you can get next to the all mighty CRONO TIGGER.
The game takes place on the planet Coyas which is in a solar system where the sun is beginning it's ascension into a super nova. This of course will mean the end of all life as the people Coyas know it.
Though as time goes on the people forget about the terrible devastation that will be done to their solar system (of course the game is called endless nova for a reason). A war four centuries ago left the entire nation in ruins. Eventually a scientist steps forward and claims that he has discovered a way to make asteroids an environment for the people of Coyas. In completing this asteroid colony Finel Capital is born. To everyone’s dismay there is a dome around the entire solar system denying further travel through the galaxy. This gigantic dome is named the Hell Dome.
Like most of the final fantasy games Endless Nova Mixes the Sci-Fi and Fantasy Genres together to make an absolutely wonderful addition
to the FF library. The game does have quite a bit of depth to it like most of the FF games, including characters with specific skills, fairly good battle system and animation, but the most seducing of all is the summon spells in all there magnificent glory.
FF: EN is complete with a wide variety of weapons, armor, relics and a huge inventory of items to obtain, and like Dragon Quest VIII the magic system is based on your characters wisdom which is always good.
However the game isn't that long 10-12 hour max depending on how much time you waste just wondering around looking for stuff, like we all do. The game does have a few extras like quite a few mini-games, a very nice casino, and best of all side quests.
FF: EN is a very fun game with quite a lot to do. It's no final fantasy 7 but lets face there won't be another 7 until the P3 remake (can't wait). But all in all Endless Nova is worthy of the title final fantasy and will be a fun play for anyone who wants to try it, after all it is a final fantasy game.
