Questron 2 It’s been ages since I played this game. I think it was my 3rd grade that I came upon this game during computer class. I’m twenty four now so you can see how long that actually was. If you have ever played Gauntlet and Final Fantasy - Ultima Series then you might like this. It’s a mix of old school Gauntlet Graphics and Final Fantasy-Ultima role playing. The monsters you right do not move but look more like picture cards for you to look at.

If you have ever played Gauntlet and Final Fantasy - Ultima Series then you might like this. It’s a mix of old school Gauntlet Graphics and Final Fantasy-Ultima role playing. The monsters you right do not move but look more like picture cards for you to look at. When you fight them, you get to analyze their powers. You choose what to do to them before they kill you. It’s not really turn-based but more final fantasy like fighting. Moby games were the company which made this
game possible.
You basically start out like any role playing game at level one and absolutely little to no money. You wander through the world fighting off monsters to obtain gold and experience to level up. If I remember correctly, there were two separate lands you played in. The Realm of Witches and Lander were the two lands where you would be exploring in. Like all the other Role Playing games, you are the hero who ultimately defeats the bad guys. In the first one you went against the evil Mantor and his book of magic. In this one, it’s more of a prequel. This goes before the book of magic was ever created. You are sent back in time by the good wizard and made to fight off 6 bad sorcerers who in the end were supposed to create the book of magic. Besides the main quest, you have the ability to explore uncharted castles, dungeons, and cave for special items, equipment, money and more experience. I was a little kid then, so I probably died many times. It’s pretty challenging for a Role playing game.
Again, its not the best role playing game out there, but during that time it was great. If you are looking to relive the old days of 128bit blocky gaming then this is the game to try out. It won’t take you 90 hours to beat it but it’s a pretty good game to remind us of how much technology did change. The new final fantasy’s these days are just amazing and the gauntlet games on Nintendo are stunning.
