Game Review (written by Turdbomz) Added on: 02/11/2007
Xenomorph is a pretty good game, not game of the year, but I enjoyed it. It is kind of like "Dungeon Master" and its real-time first person game play is pretty entertaining.
The setting is basically deep-space, devoid of any humans. I'm not the biggest fan of this games plot, it portrays a space traveller who had woken up from "hyper-sleep" and is supposed to fix the ship as soon as possible, refilling it with anti-matter and other sci-fi fuels. There are only about ten, or so levels, the ship, the moon base, and the caves, and I'd have to say, the designs of them were really thought out, many of the objects had and places were graphically superb, well for a DOS game of its time.

The designers didn't stop at the levels, the enemy designs were also very impressive, I also liked the various types of enemies that you could see, a good amount of them are droids but there are a lot of strange space organisms in this game also, my favourite enemies were the droids of course, but I also enjoyed the burrow beast and toying with the blobs in this intergalactic role-playing game.
One of the things that impressed me was the eeriness of the levels, maybe it's just me but the “outer space” settings brought on intense moments. I also enjoyed Xenomorph’s wide variety of tasks, mainly you are fixing your ship in the beginning, but as you progress you notice more complexity in levels and tasks.

enjoyed the weapons that you obtained in this game such as the grenade launcher, which is a personal favourite. The makers of Xenomorph kind of over did it when they put items in stages, such as pills, you could be given or obtain six items and only have to use one to three of them, but it just adds to the variety of the game. My favourite parts of the game were the cave levels, which were the most intricate and entertaining levels in this game. One of the only things that I considered "bad" was the sound in this game, not many detailed sounds in the game, mostly just little beeps and other low quality sounds during the game.
I'd have to say Xenomorph is more than a decent role-playing game but it doesn’t seem to be a game that will entertain you in the long-run, more like something you would do on your lunch break.
