This game is amazing, for an earlier flight simulator the game has good control and graphics. The game allows for an awesome number of missions while allowing you to either automatically have weapons selected for you or to select your ordinance payload yourself for personalized destruction of the enemy. The updated version allows playing in a desert environment simulating gulf war campaigns and allows you to fully utilize aerial tactics and strategy against ground and air targets.
The fairly accurate flight controls allow you to use the maneuverability and durability of the aircraft to your advantage.

The fairly accurate flight controls allow you to use the maneuverability and durability of the aircraft to your advantage. Feel free to hug the terrain to sneak in on unsuspecting ground targets, avoid radar, and avoid surface to air and air to air munitions
aimed at you. The targeting is great as well as your ability to slow up on the throttle when going into a bombing run and kicking in the speed to burst back into a safe altitude while targets are annihilated. The game as I remember it actually includes a bit of a guide on which munitions work best against which targets and the variety of targets and missions can keep you on your toes for hours and hours of game fun and exciting game play.
The game shows destruction of buildings vehicles and aircraft but never people and is destructive but the violence is mild making it suitable for children with their early teens. However the action and entertainment will keep most adults playing just as long as any teenager. The game actually displays military technology accurately adding a realism and historic value to the game concern the A-10 and the engagements and wars it has been active in.
Aside from all the rest the game is simply a wonderful escape that will allow any teen the ability to escape into imagination while allowing the adult to do the same and even let out little workday frustration. The game is a classic and enduring one that led to the making of an improved version and a sequel. I would recommend to anyone who has an interest in flight simulators, war games, aviation, military tactical and strategy games and fun and entertainment to grab this game as soon as possible. It has been played since it was released in my family and is still a favorite!
