I loved flying games and this was one of the first games that my mother every bought for me. I remember spending a great deal of time playing this with my friends and even skipping school some days to play this game.
The first thing that you will notice is that by today’s standards (or even the standards of the past 10 years) this game is graphically way out of date. A lot of the colors are annoying in the game, they seem to use a lot of purples and aqua color schemes.

Overall the plot of the game is fun and very easy to follow. It won’t take you forever to beat the
game, but it won’t be the quickest game that you’ve ever played either. This game will obviously not be as intense as some of the newer simulators, such as A-10 tank Killer, Ace of the Pacific or Aces over Europe. Just remember that you are playing a game that was made 10 years before a lot of the newer simulation titles.
Game play is very easy to understand, but actually turning the plan is sluggish. Once you push the joystick it takes the game a really, really long time to respond. All of the controls are rudimentary (again versus the newer simulators that are available). You should be able to pick up a copy of this game and be off and flying in a matter of minutes. This aspect of the game does make it a lot more fun than some of the really new games that require reading a manual to understand the controls.
One of the other cool things is that you can outfit your bomber with a lot of different weapons, but you have to put the right ones on to complete the mission. I personally like dog fighting, it is much more challenging than submarine or the train scenarios. One other thing to note is that you can run out of ammunition. This is different than almost any other flight simulator game that I have played.
Overall, this game is more of a trip down memory lane than a useable flight simulator. The game controls are sluggish, the colors will drive you nuts and the graphics are almost non-existence. If you are looking for flight simulators you can find much better ones than this, I would recommend looking around a little more.
