The game was released by Activision in 1986. This is just like the new SIM games that will let you live your life inside the computer. Basically, you control your character and make decisions for him. Hence, the character is your alter-ego. It’s like your life in another world.
At the start of the game, you will be given many options as to the type of personality you want to have or the kind of identity you want to have. This is the perfect opportunity to play the kind of person you wish you were in real life.

What’s interesting about this game is that there are so many possible outcomes from the decision that you make. Just like in real life you will be interacting with so many people and will be dealing with different situations. You will start the game as an infant and then you can choose to go through different situations as represented by icons on the screen.
All your decisions and how you handle yourself in the different situations will have an impact on the game. You have to have the right level of patience, aggressiveness, expressiveness and other characteristics for the different parts of the game, just like in real life. The
outcomes of your decisions are pretty realistic.
In this game, you can choose a career, you can take up hobbies, and you can even meet a girl and marry. It’s possible you’ll have a more interesting alter-ego life than your real life. This is the case with me because I spend so many hours in front of my PC, I can’t even engage in a real hobby. In alter ego I have a hot wife and a magnificent career going for me. My life in Alter Ego is just fantastic!
Of course, unlike real life, the Alter Ego world is pretty stationary which means everything remains the same. There are no social changes in the game so after a while it can get boring. But it will actually take many, many hours before you get bored with the stagnancy of the game.
This is an adventure/simulation game that is just brimming with so many possibilities. It’s so much fun to play. It’s a great game that will allow you to play out your fantasies or just go against social norms. If you mess up your Alter Ego’s life, it doesn’t have any consequences to your real life, does it?
