None of them have good aim or very fast rapid fire. They mostly shoot large red slow moving balls at you. I believe there are some missiles but those are also easy to dodge. Sorry, they do not shoot any lasers nor are there any robots on the ground. You also never get to see what the aliens actually look like. There are some other alien installations, such as mind warping power stations (when close to one everything get distorted) that you get to destroy. If you are shot down and survive the "landing" or parachute ride, you will be out on foot. Here you have a sidearm and can continue to destroy aliens, however they can still shoot at

you. If you manage to make it back to your base, or to another flight worthy plane, you can take off again. Overall the game is simple and somewhat addictive. On some missions it is easier to land your plane near the enemy, get out on foot and destroy the targets. This is because strafing small targets can be tough with the flight model they used. In between missions there are decent quality pictures of your character doing different things based on how you did on your mission (success, failure or death).
Graphics/sound:
They are nothing to write home about. Every thing is simple geometric shapes and solid colours. A few things flash and change colours. When objects explode, they become geometric shapes flying apart from each other. The sounds are very typical for this era of game. Nothing high quality, just basic engine, gun and rocket noises. The explosion sounds are very comical, they are not even close to real explosions.
Add ons:
There was an expansion pack for this game in which you get to fight the aliens on their home planet. You still fly the same plane, however the gravity is twice as powerful.
