This game has truly been an amazing one. I love this version and the two new versions that were published by HEXACTO and the other company. The game basically consists of a lemonade stand where you sell lemonade and you have to choose where you sell your lemonade and how you make your recipe. It started out way back in the 1970's and it's one of the most original simulation games.
It relates to real life because during this time a lot of kids would actually sell lemonade on the outside of their houses to make money and they had another option which they could "practice" on the computer without making or losing any money.
The basic object of the game is to make lemonade and sell it to approaching customers as fast as you can so that you can make as much money in the short time period of 30 days. You'll be in charge of every facet of the business, including pricing, quality control, inventory control, and purchasing supplies. You want to be careful in controlling these aspects very carefully; one mistake can lead to your downfall in this industry. Also weather is very important, of course when the weather is hot people would pay more money for a glass of lemonade; but if it is cold then people wouldn't want to drink the lemonade at a high price. Rain and sunshine also play
a very important part in the weather.
The real challenge comes up when you have to decide how many of each item you are really going to need on a certain day, if not you could make a horrible mistake and lose a lot of money. Some of your supplies can get rotten or spoil, like your lemons; and your ice always melts at the end of the day.
Once everything is set, and your supplies are all bought and ready for use, the day starts, you will not be able to control anything once the day starts, so you can sit back and relax and watch as the customers either stop by and get a drink, or pass you by and not even notice you.
This game really puts a lot of different aspects of life into a single box; from math to life skills and interpretation of real life situations. Lemonade Stand truly remains as one of the classic in gaming history regardless of its current successors.
