I used to play this game when I was in high school, about 9 years ago. I was in JROTC class and I use to rock at this game. I always missed playing this game and was wondering how I could get it, or even use the game with my current Windows XP operating system. I was quite excited that I found the game on this site. I was even more excited that there is also a Dos emulator available to play this game on just about any platform available.

It is exactly how I remembered it from years ago.
The game might hurts some of the newer gamers because of
the poor graphics. However, the graphics were superb back when it came out. I would play this game for hours at a time. Now that I have gotten the game once again, my wife might learn to hate this game.
The game takes a little getting use to but the controls are pretty simple. You have several "battle zones" that you can choose from. Each "zone" has different missions that you could choose from. The missions are different every time you choose them too. There are 5 levels of difficulty ranging very easy to OMG, I died when I first took off. There is also an arsenal of weapons that you can choose to equip your preferred chopper. You can equip tow missiles to take out enemies from afar (out of locking range), using sidewinder missiles to take out aircraft, using Hellfire missiles to take out ground troops/tanks, etc.
The replay value of this game is almost infinite. As you play more and more, you can points to your name. The more points you have, the higher your rank. You can also attain medals/ribbons depending on what happens in each mission. Example, if you get shot during the mission, and you make it back to your destination, you will be awarded with a Purple Heart medal. However, if you die during a mission, your character is dead forever and you have to restart the game from scratch. Just in case, before you die during a mission, hit ctrl+c. This will boot you out of the game and save your character from death. Hope you love the game as much as I do.
