Because of its very basic graphics and classic game nature, Precision Approach might be mistaken for a simple game. Do not be one of the many that are fooled and fall into this trap. Precision Approach is actually complex, difficult and highly detailed. It is a simulation of an aircraft landing, which is of course much more difficult than the standard first person shooter plane sim makes it out to be.
In this case, to make the game even more unusual, the aircraft in question is a space shuttle.
Another common misconception concerning Precision Approach is that it is one dimensional and boring, given that the focus of the game is fairly narrow. Again, wrong. Although landing the space shuttle is really the entire gist of the game, there are random starting points for each approach, which changes things.
The game accurately emulates large parts of the shuttle’s entry phase and there are tons, and tons of instruments, gauges, panels…everything you could imagine…to help you facilitate a smooth reentry. Be prepared to handle crisis situations with elaborate maneuvers and make sure you follow NASA procedures at all times. The more you know about NASA and its complex program, the better you will do, though anyone

can figure it out with enough practice. This is a great sim for people interested in pursuing a career, based on its realistic qualities.
