SimFarm is along the lines of its other counter-part games, Simcity and Simcity 2000. Only in Simfarm you are playing the game from a farmer’s point of view, in that you must plant and harvest crops as well as raise livestock. It presents many challenges to the gamer because what you produce has an impact on not only you but the town grows around your farm. The more productive you are with your farm the more the town grows and the more the town’s people praise you with additions to your farm.
Not only are you able to raise livestock and grow crops, but you are also able to fly crop dusters as well as purchase your own farm equipment in order for you to succeed in this game. The game may not seem that challenging at first because you are able to take loans from the bank, but if you take too much and pay it back they will take it back in other ways by foreclosing your farm and taking everything from you.
This game requires the gamer to be able to choose his or her own land and decide what they think will be the most profitable crop to grow or livestock to rise. Also if the gamer does
not wish to start from scratch the game does provide several remade farms that the gamer can choose to take over and run on there own, but this can be challenging as well because like in the Simcity games you never know when a disaster may strike, whether it be a Locust attack, tornado, or flood that wipes out you crop season.
This game is very entertaining as well as challenging for gamers of all ages. If you think that you have it in you to be a farmer then Simfarm will be right up your alley and you can see what it feels like to live out in the wide open country and run a farm of your own. Hopefully you will have a successful farm and not fall to bankruptcy and loose your farm. I think you will find that this game is along the lines of the other Sims games. All of the Sims are very entertaining but this one is in it own special class because it show how difficult it can be to be a farmer. So this game is worth playing!
