Veritech is, essentially, a spin off of the Robotech series, which was known in Japan (its country of origin) as Macross. It was an anime series that was quite popular in the time that old school video gaming was born, and many Japanese games have their basis in anime television series, comic books and so forth. Veritech is a science fiction themed flight simulator that loosely follows the storyline of Macross Plus.
The Veritech fighter, according to the series, is an incredibly powerful ship belonging to the terran fleet.
After completing a training mission to help you get the feel for the ship’s controls and capabilities, you will be able to fly the Veritech fighter as a fully vested pilot. The training exercise will take you to an island that is the site of a ten year old space carrier crash. The repaired carrier is about to make its maiden voyage and you will be one of the pilots on board.
You will be able to fly simulated battles against other Veritech pilots, as well as other actual enemies. There are numerous ordinances on board the ship that you will have to learn to use efficiently, ranging from bombs to guns.

a simulation that is different from both flight and space sims. You aren’t flying a Tomcat into battle and you aren’t trying to dock the Space Shuttle. You are piloting a very powerful mech with wings. It’s like Transformers meets F-15 Strike Eagle!
