Based on American Football rules the game starts off with one team kicking to the other team. One player returns the football to the opposing line and is tackled. Please note that players can die and can be replaced however you can run out of players, which eventually happens. Like American football there is a quarterback for both teams who runs the plays.

Each controller has the right to choose which play is appropriate. There is an opposing and defending team, depending on who is holding the ball. Players can either choose
a running, passing or kicking play depending on what down the football is on. Every ruling follows American football; however the brutality is the one key difference. Each player on the team has a unique tackling style which can involve weapons.
Players are stretched from the field if the brutality is too great and can be replaced by substitutions. The controller is able to choose which sub is appropriate for the relevant position. For example a running back would not be replaced by a line man. On the field there are also obstacles, which can impact a team and there success. Some of the obstacles are positive and can boost power, strength or ability and some are disadvantageous.
Mines are strategically placed all over the field and can influence a team’s strategy. Another important thing to think about when playing brutal sports football is the time frame of the game. Games can vary and are dependant on the controller’s choice. The players in brutal sports football are not human and hence can have different characteristics from the normal American football game.
Some of the key attributes of some of the players include super speed, agility, strength, weaponry etc. In my own opinion the game is a great success and I supply it with a 9.5 rating based on the playability. It is not monotonous and can be quite difficult at times. The first few games I played I lost convincing but once accustomed to the style it can be quite easy. I recommend the game to any new player looking for a different flavor than the usual American football and soccer game. The combination of both sports into one game makes this game very interesting
