Game Review 1 (written by Shannon) Added on: 12/22/2007
Football Masters 98 is a European soccer simulation game that features extensive detail and great depth of play. Football Masters 98 features just about every option that one could look for in a soccer management game. The players and statistics are historically accurate. The user can send scouts to find players based on any predefined trait or attribute that the user sees fit, anything from height to speed, or perhaps the dominant kicking foot of the player. There are youth teams to scout, a transfer market, and training for young players.

options, sponsorship deals and holiday bonuses for players. The stadium is even under the user’s sway, with the gamer choosing the size of the stadium, upgrades and even the pitch of the field. Along with the stadium, the gamer sets the price for tickets, based on his finances and the popularity of the team. There are interest charges on loans, board members to convince of personnel moves and myriad other realistic events.
Not only does the user have all of the above mentioned things to concern him with, but there are also numerous ways to play the game, adding to its replay ability. The computer can control other teams and has the ability to invite players to tournaments and exhibition games. Football Masters 98 offers historically accurate European cups for which to compete. It also contains enough history to intrigue most any soccer fan. The user can replay, with complete accuracy, any actual game from history. The history of each team, some dating back to 1871, is also available.
The only detriment to this game is the gangly user interface. There are no statistics available on the screen and the action is less than stellar. In the midst of a match, there is a performance bar to show how the team is doing, and that is about the only thing moving on the screen, except the ball.
Football Masters 98 is highly recommended! Because if you are bored you should download this fantastic game, enjoy and have fun!

Game Review 2 (written by Jenry) Added on: 06/07/2007
It's a real cool game! For the year the game is, the graphics is quite exceptional and I didn't mind playing it. The game play is smooth, cool. It's a very fun game, realistic. It actually feels like you are into the game itself. I really recommend it to try.
The game itself is good. I actually like playing soccer games and this one was no exception. I like running down the flank, crossing, trying long range shots, kicking free kicks, corners, penalties, you name it. I also of course, loved to foul players at time and then the cards come out. At times I use to do it for spite to have a bit of laugh to see the man getting send off the field.
I am a very passionate football fan and like to use the team I support whether it is the country or league. You know, just playing with your favorite team and winning cups, scoring goals with my favorite players, slider men with my favorite defenders and hitting the drives with players that do it for real life was extremely fantastic. Absolutely brilliant. I felt some real good pleasure from it and it was good. You know, the first good game that you get will last in your memory as long as you live.
Technology wasn't as hot as it is now back when this game was made and the creators did a wonderful good on this.

Used to play this game all the time. Love the easiness of playing. Always fun taking a team from the bottom division all the way up to the Premier League and then taking home the title.

Very Good Game. This game was fun to play and it took up a lot of time. I would highly reccomend it to anyone who likes these types of games.

This game was always fun to play when I was young. The graphics may not be up to date as they are now in the twenty-first century, but I'll bet that if you put this in front of your kid, he or she will be hooked almost instantly. That is how it happened with me.

This game is absolutely amazing. The graphics are very good for a computer game. The game is very easy to understand, and is suitable for players of any age. What i like most about the game is how easy it is to get lost in it. I was sitting here just playing the game and i looked at my clock and 4 hours had gone by. That is how you know when you are playing a good game: is when you lose all track of time. I couldnt believe that i sat here for 4 hours playing this game and did not get bored even once.
