This is an Old school Classic car game with improvements from Grand Prix Manager 1. The concepts were preserved and the graphics improved with more options and better graphics. The music is a classical old school annoying and repeats itself true to form. The game lets you modify your ride with changes for your tires, engines, and also body colors. The graphics while they were better than the first Grand Prix Manager 2 are still grainy and tend to load slower on older computers.
If you have a graphics card faster than a walking turtle you should be fine. So you might be asking yourself… hmm is it really worth a download? The obvious answer is yes, not because the anything in particular is stunning about the game its self, but rather, to play and enjoy a computer game that helped set the foundation for further racing games of today. If you’re on the rail with car games, this one is a little more in depth then the “click to race” type. I would say for the person that has basic knowledge of car functions and likes to problem solve their way to a championship.
So the question is: “Will I keep the download
of Grand Prix Manager 2 on my computer?” Personally, the file size is so low compared to modern day race games that, it would be a shame to delete it because of file size. Grand Prix would be a better game if it also included cycles racing against cars. Not only would the cycles be able to pass the cars quicker, but the crashes would also be nastier. Overall I would give this game (out of five stars) five for predictability, 4 for graphics (at the time it came out, now it would be a negative number, :) 4 zero for music.
