The Hardball 5 Enhanced game is by far one of the best games that I have played in recent memory. The sounds and screen shots really make you feel like you are there. First off, I would like to say that the opening menu is quick and easy to operate to get the right thing you want. If you want to play with more than one player you just simply select two player mode. On the other hand, if you are unfamiliar with video games, the menu may be confusing, but don't worry you will catch on eventually.

Secondly, the gameplay is fun for even people watching you play. The players are real and actually have names. Hitting the ball is can be
tricky if you have never played this game. Pitchers can be dominating but by setting the mode to easy, you will be able to compete. Fielding in my opinion was the most difficult aspect of the game. It was hard to judge where the ball was going to land in the outfield and it seemed like my players were never fast enough to get there. Infield also had the same problems. Fast grounders always made their way to the outfield.
Third, I must mention the amazing graphics. They really make you feel like you playing on the game. I have yet to feel that way about any game thus far. The sound effects were pretty much on cue as well. I like the umpire when he called you out. The voice just seemed so authoritative. It is always nice to hear that ball popping the mit for pitchers and when the ball cracks the bat. Pitching I almost forgot. Pitching is fun because you can select a variety of pitches. Curves, Fastballs, even sliders are available to choose. Against very good teams though you must be able to be more cautious with your selection.
When I played against a more difficult team, I quickly noticed how good the batters are against my pitching staff. If you are playing one on one though it can be and will be fun for both parties. Last, I would like to talk about the graphics a bit more. The diamond was fairly accurate and so was the mound and home plate. Pretty much like in real life. What I did not like was that it seemed like you were playing on turf and not on grass. There were not any effects of the wind really and the crowd noises were very monotone.
