Game Review 1 (written by Apurjh) Added on: 01/11/2008
Ian Botham cricket was created after the great cricket player Sir Ian Terence Botham also nicknamed "Beefy" and "Guy the Gorilla". Ian Botham Cricket is a good game but not brilliant there are several downsides to the game including:
The graphics are extremely good. All you do in the game is pick your teams and play a match with your enemy or opponent or whatever you want to call it.
The game can get very confusing when it is on split screen because the players moves around too much which can make your head spin a lot if you get dizzy easy.

There are some good and interesting points to the game. There is quite a good selection of players from the late years

of the 80's to the earliest years of the 90's this will entertain players like me for minuets but players which are easier to please or are not hard to please will find this interesting for about a few weeks or maybe even a month.
Overall I think that the Ian Botham Cricket is a very good game but very simple to play even at the harder levels, with the limited batting selections it is not to complicated of a game that you will lose every time you play it. Other games that I think you would like if you like this one are: World Cricket. This game is interesting and addictive. I recommend it to everyone!

Game Review 2 (written by Sushik) Added on: 04/22/2007
Ian Botham Cricket is one of the true "classics" PC cricket games. Developed by "Celebrity Software", it was one of the "first-ever" cricket games in the market (I think it appeared somewhere around the early 90s). It has a format which is a bit similar to the old Brian Lara's Cricket and Allan Border's Cricket (I am not sure if they're by the same developers). Any true cricket fan - too lazy to get out and play it on the field, or, unable to find a good game on TV must've tried this (or at least one of the three) at some point in his/her life.
Gameplay is fairly simple and easy to master. You might be able to pull-off a few stunts while bowling, however, they aren't the easiest, which is good, because it might want you to keep playing the game for a while. Another thing you should probably know is that this game does not feature a tournament format, so forget about taking you favorite team to the finals and win the cup, because there isn't one. It's only an exhibition format where you pick two teams, select the roasters (which has a good line-up of most late 80s - early 90s stars), and just get on with it.
Overall, the game is worth downloading and trying. It's definitely good fun at the start, and even though you may get bored after a while, you might want to come back to it after a few months.
