Game Review (written by Shannon) Added on: 09/25/2011
Jaws. Is there possibly a more classic horror-esque film? Can you even read the title of this fully licensed video game without getting that tell-tale “da, dum, da dum” music in your head? Jaws was such an enormous hit, both in print and on the big screen, that it was only a matter of time before a gaming title arrived for the personal computer. In this case, it was done by Intelligent Design and published by Screen 7 in the late eighties.
As a fully licensed title…you are going to hear that music.

You will play the part of Chief Brodie, the responsible but outgunned protagonist of the tale. You have been charged with the monumental task of keeping the waters off the beach safe and preserving the tourist season. That’s hard enough when there is a shark the size of a Sherman tank in the water. Add to the problems the fact that the only weapon capable of taking out the man eating shark has been broken into four pieces.

You will have to balance finance with adventure. Everything you do will have a direct effect on your finances. If you close a beach to protect

tourists, you lose money. However, if you don’t and they get eaten, you lose money. The goal is to search the 150 or more screens as quickly as you can while balancing the shark dinners and revenue. Once you have all the pieces of the weapon, you can reassemble it and make chum out of your big shark buddy. You will have to take out many smaller fish in the process. This helps you to earn money and offset the beach dilemma.

People that downloaded Jaws also downloaded the following games:

Stunt Car Racer Shark! Hunting the Great White
Shane Warne Cricket Uprising
Cricket 97 Football Glory
