Micro league baseball has been a classic DOS game for years. I remember playing it as a kid for hours and hours. I’ve never got tired of it. It didn't matter that the graphics were sub-par or that there were zero controls. Just by pressing the correct number was all it took. Just look at all the all-time greats that this game includes. Babe Ruth, Lou Gherig, Mike Schmidt, Ty Cobb. There’s nothing better than having the Babe slug a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth to win it all against the 1980 phillies.

I have been trying to find micro league baseball
for quite a while now and now that I have found it I don't think I will ever stop playing it. Anyone who ever had the pleasure of playing this game or even as a kid will be brought back to the good days of cheap graphics. I remember playing this game on my apple IIc. I wish I still had that computer. The list of available pitchers is also quite impressive. Steve Carlton, Walters, McClain!! Come one now. I challenge anyone to find another baseball game with these kinds of players. It's impossible. Even if you could I still don’t think it would stack up to this gem.
I mean all I have to do is press 0 and watch as Carl Yazstremski juices one yard. Once you manage to get a man on base you can step it up with some aggressive base running. Choose the dangerous hit and run and hope that the opposing pitcher doesn’t pitch out. Have your man attack the base paths on every contact of the bat. Or advance you man to second or third with a sacrifice bunt. Daring enough to pull off the suicide squeeze? It can be done. Or just swing for the fences on every pitch.
With the right team every pitch could result in that moon shot. On the other side of the ball, you can choose between several types of pitches. Just grip it and rip it with a fast ball or try to get them swinging with the curve. If that doesn’t suit your fancy try the slider or the ever popular change-up. Feel a steal coming on? Throw the pitch out and catch him stealing for that crucial third out late in the game to seal the win. No matter how you slice it this game is money in the bank.
