As team manager, you will have full control of the team. You will work as an overall manager of the team, planning out team strategies and even giving your team a moral boost with the talk you will be giving them during half time. You will
even be in charge of public relations making sure that the public has a good perception of your team. These factors actually affect how your team performs just like how these factors affect soccer team performance in real life. This game focuses on the psychological aspect of the game and shows how the success of teams does not only depend on the skills of the player but on the moral boost your players can get from your pep talk and the good perception of the public to the team. The game concept is rather unique for a sport management game.
You need to lead your team to victory in the League edition. You will begin in the Premiere League and you have to work your way to become manager in just ten years. The game was underrated and did not do too well commercially even if it is pretty well made. The graphics of the game is average and the commentary not the best out there but the game features good game play which is what’s truly important in a game.
If you are a soccer fan then you will enjoy this game. I am not such a huge fan of soccer but I enjoyed this game tremendously. There are three difficulty settings to choose from depending on your skill. Each difficulty level has its own final score target which you must reach within ten years.
There is another version of this game called On the Ball World League edition which is equally fun. Overall, this game if worth downloading and playing if even just for the novel idea of boosting team performance through psychological means. It gives you a different perspective of the sport and lets you have fun.
