Game Review (written by Slymon8) Added on: 07/16/2008
This is the first kickboxing game I played on my very old Amiga 500. The idea of the game is to fight your way through a range of characters from very easy to very hard, as in most games until you end up fighting A. Panzer which is a pun because a panzer is an old world war two tank used by the Germans.
The first few rounds are really quite easy and if you knock your opponent down twice, the third time he goes down for good, this is represented by three lights that appear above the ring and go out each time you knock an opponent down, once the 3rd and final light is out the opponent is knocked out and the fight is over.
But when you get to the second to last or even the last fight your opponents will survive a lot longer. I never actually managed to bet A Panzer as he can knock you out with one shot sometimes even if you have been betting him through out the fight already.
The fighting itself seems mostly turn based as in you hit and then block your opponents next attack before resuming with your own next attack the challenge is mostly in trying to predict what type of attack to block, either high or low, or trying to hit your opponent with the right type of attack, either high or low, or soft or hard. the range of moves is quite extensive from round

house kicks to push kicks, sweeps, to various punches including even a spinning round house punch, hard to land but does a lot of damage. For the first few fights you can choose between different fighters to fight against until you work your way up the ranks to fight A Panzer. You can also choose between two fighters that you wish to fight with. there is also a training option in the game that allows you to build your strength by doing various exercises which are skipping, weight lifting and sit ups, these are relatively basic and just require you to hit a series of buttons with timing in order to complete the task. This is a bit time consuming and a little tedious But I would recommend it in order to progress to the final fight and even have a chance at beating A Panzer.
All in all I really enjoyed this game as a kid and spent more than a few hours trying to beat my previous records.
